PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Germany: Business at Nuertingen-Geislingen University program is affiliated with the University of Applied Sciences Nürtingen-Geislingen (Hoschole für Wirtschaft und Umwelt Nürtingen-Geislingen), located near Stuttgart. CSU IP has an agreement with the State of Baden-Württemberg, which is in southwest Germany and is home to world-renowned universities, such as University of Applied Sciences Nürtingen-Geislingen. The CSU IP program is administered by a Program Coordinator, based in Tuebingen, who is available to students throughout the year.

GermanyThe Germany: Business at Nuertingen-Geislingen University program begins with a six week Preparatory Language Program (PLP) in Horb, a small town near Tübingen. PLP courses offer instruction in German grammar, reading, writing and conversation and often include cultural excursions. After completion of the PLP, students begin their regular courses at the University of Applied Sciences Nürtingen-Geislingen. Courses at the university are taught in English, however, CSU IP students are required to study the German language during both the fall and spring semesters.

More information about the courses offered at the University of Applied Sciences Nürtingen-Geislingen can be found here. For more information about the academic program, students may refer to the CSU IP Academic Bulletin. Note that course offerings are subject to change and may not be offered during the year of intended study.

LOCATION

Nürtingen is situated on the river Neckar, approximately 20 miles to the south east of Stuttgart. The city, which has a population of approximately 40,000, has a history which dates back to the middle ages. The city is home to a wide variety of cycling and hiking trails and also boasts a number of museums and free cultural events.

HOUSING

Housing is coordinated by CSU IP staff in Germany. During the PLP in Horb, students live with host families. In Nürtingen, students have a variety of dormitory options available to them and the on-site staff will assist students with these housing arrangements.
